Hood lights usually come with the tank kit and when turned on show all the glory your tank can produce as all the vibrant colors are reflected,adding a thermometer is a nice touch,these usually come in self sticking plastic strips that you apply to the outside of the tank and it shows the water temperature.Another touch is adding background scenery to the back of your tank,this is done by purchasing paper that has the detailed scenery picture on it ready to apply to your tank.When you are ready to put the fish in your tank they will usually be in water filled plastic bags,set the fastened bags in the tank water for a few minutes as this will allow the water in the bags to temperature to your tank water and is less stressful on the fish when they are released into your tank.
